People, do not be fooled. The customs applications mentioned here required prerequisite applications and services. The answer would be we what azure22 said if it was not for those. The answer is 100% IAAS.

I believe it should be PaaS, Can someone please confirm. My exam is in 3 days.

Answer is correct! The answer is in the last sentence "Each application will have several prerequisite applications and services installed". With PaaS, you don't need to install any prerequisite application, you are provided with the environment for your DevOps, with IaaS, you have more control of your installed apps

The prerequisites for the apps must be installed in azure, so it should be IaaS

Prerequestion and service installed, so only IaaS can do that as VM lol

The point of confusion is this line: "Each application will have several prerequisite applications and services installed". If it means we already get several prerequisite applications and services (e.g. servers, storage, networking, middleware, development tools, BI services, DB services, etc.) installed, the answer would be PaaS. If it means we will need to install several prerequisite applications and services, the answer would be IaaS.
IMHO, in such exams, candidates should be tested on their technical knowledge; rather than knowledge of English, and therefore this line needs to be rephrased.

Here installed is the keyword. in IAAS you are responsible to handle installation, configuration, manage your softwares, OS,middleware.

no it is not PaaS because the application to deploy is custom so we have to do lots of customization and we do not have full control in PaaS. So the answer in IaaS

I'm an IaC DevOps and 100% can confirm the answer is IaaS. All apps that my DEV team is developing are custom, so they'll need to access the VMs and install their stuff. In a PaaS they wouldn't have access to install their stuff for the customization.

(laaS) is CORRECT here because the answer is in the last sentence "Each application will have several prerequisite applications and services installed". With PaaS, you don't need to install any prerequisite application, you are provided with the environment for your DevOps, with IaaS, you have more control of your installed apps.

Given answer IAAS is correct. From the question keyword is that you will require to install your prerequisite applications and services for the custom application to work. This is not an idea of PAAS.

In first-line tells that it can,t be SaaS.
Multiple installations in last line of the question tells that its can't be PaaS.
In pAAS , u dont install stuff, only application files and data are to be given in Paas.
option left IaaS.

The answer they're looking for is IaaS, but PaaS could also be the correct answer depending on the scenario, since the question never states who is controlling middleware, runtime, BI, etc. Way to go, MS.

PaaS would be the correct answer if your custom apps didn't have several prerequisite applications and services that need installation.
IMO, IaaS is correct

Ans is IaaS.

I also thought it was PaaS. I think it has something to do with the prerequisite services that will need to be installed.

I think so to. The described situation has nothing to do with runtime, middleware or the OS.
Its just about linking applications and of course the data. You could use Azure Container Insance or Azure Kubernetis Service, that are PaaS solutions, am I right?
